Who is responsible

This website is operated by Doris Wörfel, trading as Southern Cross Governance Advisory, Pretoria, South Africa. For any question about your personal information, contact doris@southerncross-advisory.com.

What information is processed

When you visit this website. The hosting provider, xneelo (South Africa), automatically records technical information in server log files: your IP address, the date and time of access, the pages requested, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure.

Fonts. This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, and your IP address is transmitted to Google, which may process it outside South Africa and the European Union.

When you contact me. If you send an email, I process your name, email address and the content of your message in order to reply and, where applicable, to prepare or carry out an engagement.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. WordPress may set technical cookies only for logged-in site administrators.

Why the information is processed

Information is processed to operate and secure the website, to respond to enquiries and to perform or prepare advisory engagements. Processing is based on legitimate interest and, where relevant, on steps taken at your request before or under a contract, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Sharing

Personal information is not sold. It is shared only with service providers needed to run this website and email, such as the hosting provider, and only to the extent necessary.

How long it is kept

Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed for the enquiry or engagement and for any statutory retention periods.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to its processing. To do so, email doris@southerncross-advisory.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) or, if you are in the European Union, with the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

This notice may be updated when the website or the way information is processed changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
